As mentioned in the original post I also have a synthetic rope but that isn't showing any wear at all yet.Ĭlick to expand.I don't believe there is enough room/width available be able to attach a boat keel roller onto the actual plow assembly in place of the pulley in your picture. The last two times was during a single snow storm, the most I plowed at one time was probably 5"-6" of snow. All 3 times I did a neighbors driveway as well. I've plowed three times so far this winter with it. What will be tricky is to see how the center plow plate works out once I get skid plates hopefully in the spring or summer. No regrets at all with any of the choices I made. Let me know specifically what you are having trouble with, I'm happy to help. I bought a 60" Provantage plow, center mounting plate (no regrets there, it's not difficult by any means to attach but you do have to get down on the ground) with the associated push tubes, and I bought the pulley kit which is pretty nice. Then I just used the compatibility chart on the warn website to determine what else I needed to purchase. I have the VRX35-s winch on a KFI winch plate, that was step one for me, but your signature shows you have an XT-R so I'm assuming you have a winch already. It seemed confusing to me as well when I was deciding what to purchase. Instructions and quality control of compatible parts is lacking big time.Ĭlick to expand.I don't have any photos, but I can take them if it would help. For the pulley I had to trim some length of a bolt off to get the brackets to fit, then I had to file down the sides of the pulley to let it spin freely, otherwise it was jammed b/w the brackets. Side note, install was a joke, found a few videos to help. Looking for suggestions on what is actually needed here, appreciate the help. In case it matters, the equipment I have aside from the winch mentioned above is a Warn 78960 60" plow blade, Warn 78100 plow base/push tube (center mount), Warn 88188 plow mounting kit (center mount as mentioned), and then the Warn 85426 plow pulley. I thought a roller fairlead was not appropriate for synthetic cable. I also read one post that said their synthetic cable broke after an hour of using the hawse fairlead with this setup, so not sure what to make of this. I also purchased the Warn 85426 Cable Pulley for the rig as well, and there is a note stating that only a roller fairlead should be used. I have a Warn VRX-35s winch installed which comes with a hawse fairlead. I recently assembled a Warn Provantage Plow setup for my 2021 Grizzly 700.
